Floral Birthday Stepper cards

Good Morning everyone

So today i am sharing a set of floral birthday stepper cards, made using LOTV art pad images and hand made flowers.

Ive used happy birthday printed cardstock on them all from Ann-Marie, I also decoupaged the images and added glossy accents to the vases and touches of glitter glue.

Little primroses to go with the primroses in the little vases, made using yellow cardstock and orange ink pad, yellow gem centres.

Hellobore made with a simple die cut flower, i rounded the petals on a foam mat and added green stamens, dots using a coloured pen.

This is using the same flower die i used for the hellobore but ive shaped it slightly differently, white stamens to pick up on the peonie in the image.

These sweet peas i had left over from making a project last year, knew they would come in handy one day, made using sizzix susans garden sweet pea die set.  Link at the bottom if you would like to see the sweetpea project i made before

And last but not lease butterflies, i also used a chocolate pearl embossed cardstock on this one, which matched the basket in the image well.

Items used:
Presscut stepper card die
LOTV art pad images
Sizzix butterfly dies 659971
Sizzix flower dies (primrose) 658602
Sizzix susans garden sweetpea die set

The kittens

Good Morning all

Well a few of you asked to see the kittens, so a couple of photos, she had 3 in the end, all pretty dark but you can see one has a white foot.  She was very good but sadly i couldn't keep her so a rescue centre found her and little ones a room.  She is very pretty.  Tilly was very good with her and the kittens but i had to banish the other 2.   What is it with cats, they love a box until you want them in a box😀

For those who didn't read yesterday, this is a stray cat that my old gal brought home thursday in a very distressed state and then i realised she was in labour.  Very long time since ive had kittens.

and below another new member to our growing family this week

This is Oscar, he is about 2 yrs old and going to hopefully get on well with our other donkey, fingers crossed!  Oscar is very dark whereas Bengy is pale in colour.

Thank you for your comments on my card for the Vet yesterday, yes it did take several days to make.  Enjoy your weekend.  Emma x

Vet Retirement Card

Good Morning everyone,

I hope you all had a good Easter holiday and if like me you were enjoying tasty French strawberries in the sun then you had a lovely time.

Well over night we have had kittens, well in the last hour, second one just born, mother is settled down in the living room, only problem here is that its not my cat😊.  After this little, well her tummy was massive was pestering me all day yesterday, last night she got very insistent on coming in when i suddenly thought she is in labour, so settled her down in a box and quiet corner for the night, she had the first one about an hour ago.  Madam Tilly is being very good and on guard duty now as my other 2 cats aren't too happy!

So Happy Spring.

Our farm vet is retiring so today i am sharing the card my dad asked me to make for him, of course it had to contain lots of animals.

8x8 card blank.  Brusho sky and grass background.  Lots of dies cut in various different colour cards to build up the scene.  I forgot to take a photo of the insert which i managed to get more animals onto using digi images, cows and donkeys.  David was very good to the family donkey over the years. Computer printed sentiment matted onto dark chocolate cardstock.  Most of it is this dark chocolate, only the bench is black.

Close up, the chocolate Labrador

Close up, of course had to be a ginger Tom.

Items used as best as i can remember!:
Memory box dies - cat, dog, squirrels, flying birds, resting birds, park bench, fench, tree,
Impression Obsession - clouds, rabbits, tree blossom flowers,
Cheerylynn - grass

Make My Monday #44 - Embossing

Good Morning everyone, I hope you are enjoying the Easter Weekend.

So today is a new challenge over at Make My Monday, the theme is embossing, for more details and to look at all the design teams makes follow this link

The first thing that came to my mind seeing it was embossing was all those 'core'dination' pads i had in the cupboard, so i dug out my favourite of them, the 'chocolate box' these are all shades of chocolate with a coloured core once embossed and sanded back.

So i dug out a mix of embossed folders with smaller patterns and had fun

A5 ivory cardblank.   I first cut several octogens from the chocolate core'dinations, embossed them and sanded back to reveal the coloured core, i then cut a bigger octogen from the reverse of the core'dination to create mats from the same colour as the embossing.  I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and layered onto a small embossed panel.

Items used:  Stampin up Curly Cute sentiment stamps

Childrens Easter Cards

Good Morning everyone, i hope you all enjoyed some sunshine over the weekend.

So today I am sharing these fun Easter cards i made for my 3 little nieces, nice to just make some relaxed cards.  I have made them the same card as stops any arguments!!  I don't have an egg die so used oval dies and my alpha dies in action again.

First i die cut the 'eggs' from pastel card stock and then cut the letter apertures for each of the girls names.  I made the DL card blanks from blue mottled card to give the effect of the sky, the grass i die cut using those curved border dies from card i had coloured with green brusho's.  The mini bunnies are cut from chocolate brown pearlised cardstock and i have placed them among my eggs.

These cards are an amalgamation of previous designs I created.   The links below show these cards in different variations if you are interested.

One for Little Lizzy, well she's not so little now😊

and not forgetting my youngest niece Alice, she is growing fast too, 18mths old now.  These little bunnies are great fun and cut 15 all in one go so ideal for cutting lots of them.

So i decided to make some matching pillow boxes to put their little treats in.  I hand cut the pillow boxes from pastel cardstock and then embossed them.  Using up left over eggs, scraps and rabbits i built a little scene. A different colour box for each of the girls

Make My Monday # 43 - april showers - shaker card

Good Morning all and welcome to another Monday.

So today over at Make My Monday we have a new challenge.  'APRIL SHOWERS'  Anything to do with rain.  If you fancy joining in and seeing what the rest of the design team have created please do pop over using the link above or in my side bar.

So i decided to make a get well shaker card using umbrellas and rain drops.

A5 card size.  First i die cut my umbrella's and then dry embossed using a raindrops embossing folder.  Backed the umbrella apertures with acetate and  added foam tape around each umbrella.  3 colours of micro beads and backed with pale blue pattern paper.  Iridescent sequins for water drops.  I cut the spellbinders get well sentiment twice to fit the card.  I then edged the umbrellas and card with stickles glitter glue.

Close up of the shaker part, i added different colour micro beads to each one. Typical that we had non stop rain while i was trying to take the photos, so they are a tad dull.

Items Used:   Creative Expressions 'raindrops' embossing folder
Xcut vintage icon dies for the umbrella
Orange, purple and pink micro beads
Spellbinders delites sentiments four (SP-S2140)
Distress ink 'peacock feathers'

Thank you for stopping by, we look forward to seeing your enteries over at

Wishing you all a wonderful week. Emma

Tea 'A hug in a cup' home decor project

Good Morning everyone and welcome to April.

So today im sharing the present i made for my mum for mother's day, I made this first and then used the same papers for the matching card.  MDF teapot and cups.  Combining mums love of flowers and tea.

This first photo shows it hanging up, i connected them all using jewellery chain, its always nicer to drink tea with a friend so you have to have two cups ready.

The teapot.  First i covered them all with patterned papers from a 12x12 pad, i then edged them all in gold paint, to give the effect of those bone china sets you get with gold rims. And of course tea has to be in bone china😊.

I made the roses using my old favourite spellbinders spiral flower dies, this flowers are ideal for long term projects as once made up they are very study and take some battering, using a mix of papers, die cut rose leaves too, these i spray varnished with a gloss. Tea bag tag sourced from the internet, pearl clusters and metal charms to embellish and add interest.

Close up showing the flowers better and the little teapot, chair and key charms.  This shows the colours better too.

Close up on cup one

close up on cup two, i faced the handles opposite by design.

Items used:  Spellbinders spiral blossom 2 die
Spellbinders bitty blossom dies
Papers all from B&M 'springtime bouquet' paper pad
Imagination crafts starlight paint 'gold'
MDF Teapot & cups from ebay
Distress ink 'picked raspberry' & 'Clover'
